Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS)

The Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) is the national standards body of Tanzania, established to promote standardization, quality assurance, and metrology in the country.

For over five decades, TBS has been at the forefront of ensuring that products and services in Tanzania meet international quality standards, protecting consumers and promoting fair trade practices.

Our mission is to provide standardization, quality assurance, and metrology services that enhance the competitiveness of Tanzanian products and services in both domestic and international markets, while protecting consumers and the environment.

Our Role

TBS plays a crucial role in:

This system allows participants to:
